Day 1

TOPICS COVERED: The Small Business Landscape, Merchant Cash Advance, Long Term Funding Options, Basic Accounting Principles

General coverage on the industry as a whole is provided with more specific focus given to the two most popular funding options for small business owners. A broad understanding of MCA and long term loans will have you covered for nearly any client you encounter. Further, an understanding of accounting principles (balance sheet/profit and loss/corporate tax returns) is vital to presenting sensible options to large scale operations with business growth in mind.

Day 2

TOPICS COVERED: Selling short and long term loan products, Underwriting and deal placement

In depth sales techniques are presented and discussed, with real world situational examples and class participation through mock sales calls. Various approaches are covered from one call closes to nurturing prospects through the entire sales funnel. Most importantly, client engagement skills are developed through a compare and contrast model pointing out the mistakes that most small business loan salespeople make.

Underwriting and deal placement are presented as an “inside view” from the funder’s desk, giving vision as to how a deal is converted from submission to funded client.

Day 3

TOPICS COVERED: Marketing and SEO, Facebook, Google Adwords, LinkedIn, building a network of referrals, course review

Finding the right niche and marketing channel will be the hardest part of any salesperson’s entry into a lucrative but competitive field. Through trial and error and using previous industry connections, leads are easier to come by if you know where to look for them. We uncover some of the channels not typically explored which will give competitive edge to nurturing your pipeline into sales funnel.
